I've gotten a lot of those and 0s, too. It's mostly people trying to drag down a tile's average score to something they agree with, rather than actually voting that score themselves. Fortunately, it happens less as you make more tiles and get into the later quilts.
Don´t bother
Someone voted me -5 in some tiles too, but it doesn´t matter. At last, i think there is more good people in Mainquilters than bad ones. Once a lot of people vote your tile, it doesn´t count a single -5.
Just wanna tell you: go this way! you are getting better. Your last tile is very good ;)

a little bit about me
finally got some time to sit down and write a tad about me.
i'm 21 and i'm still in school in buffalo, ny. found this site about a year ago as a random link of a random russian website. i doodle and paint. i like sharks a lot. dimeboy's my buddy from home. ummmmmm, what else? i'm an environmental studies major [means i'll be unemployed soon]. oh yeah, almost forgot. my socks are orange.

i like your work... do a couple more mainquilt tiles ... and show a lot of effort if you want in on the dali/escher quilt. heck, the mq theme is only a suggestion, so you could do the mq tiles in the dali/escher theme just to warm up. tile on dude ;o))
