This tile is from Newbies 9: The Tiles of a New Generation

Comment: Tile #5. The metal pipe started in my other tile diagonal from this so it was nice to see it again. The tile above gave a virtually unblendable border so I just drop-shadowed it so it seems to float above, I feel I blended the left quite well, and the bottom very well. Another tile I'm very pleased with.

Pipe dreams
Heh... good thing you enjoyed having your pipes back. It took me a while before i found out a good "cheat" to carry them across my tile.

Doesn't seem thet you hade the same problem with my "raw liver" texture though :)

Great tile. Keep up the good work!

Re: Raw Liver
Hmmm, it wasn't too bad.
I just took the main Background colour of your texture and flooded my area, then took the highlight and shadow colours of the stripes and drew my own stripes, just shadow clour line then highlight colour line above it...

Nice tile, but you should probably keep long comments like that in the messages instead of the tile's comment itself :P

"... keep long comments like that in the messages instead of the tile's comment ..."

Why?

It's called Comment, not tile, lots of people seem to be using it for a title of their work but I think that since it's named Comment I'll use it to comment.

I really feel that including lots of information in the comment will help the community here, if everyone does it it will promote a feeling of sharing of ideas and techniques and lead to better art in general.

For example, what do you think is more interesting and enjoyable? a comment saying "By Yo-Yo" or a comment saying "Tile #5. The metal pipe started in my other tile diagonal from this so it was nice to see it again. The tile above gave a virtually unblendable border so I just drop-shadowed it so it seems to float above, I feel I blended the left quite well, and the bottom very well. Another tile I'm very pleased with."?
When you notice that the artist's name is written automatically right after the comment then the first one is totally useless, whereas the second one gives you some insight into what the artist did and what they think of their creation.

Why bother posting a message to say what is going on with my tile when I can put it in what 'I' think is it's rightful place, the COMMENT!

Anyway, that's just my 4c (Australian).

Re: Re: Re: Re: Raw Liver
Hey, I pretty much agree with you... But doing that makes the "recent posts" area on the side fill up, and it just makes your tiles stand out a lot. I now make it a habit to post a message about each tile, and just use the comments section for the tile's title.

Re: Comment
I see what you mean Chris, So I will start using it for a title, I just want it to be known that I object to it's incorrect name.

Incorprating
You didn't blend the top tile at all, or the tile to your right into your tile very well. You left a message in the persons tile to the left leaving the readers to feel it was their fault yours didn't blend, that's why I had to come to your tile then to see what the issue was and I'm sorry but I don't agree. So you get my 2cents worth here now. I don't see blaming the tile creators in the boarders for your choosing to not work on blending as rational or responsable. If you take a tile that has boarders your commiting yourself to work with the boarders given to blend out from them. Both the top and side tiles here had defined patterns and textures in their tiles to incorprate into your tile. Great tile otherwise, fantastic textures that you carried out from the bottom tile. If you choose to not incorprate the others patterns in your tile you should just say that was your choice and leave it at that.
