The lighting in this pic is just perfect, and the detailing in the fabric.

Re: ...
Is this 100% rendered? The skin lighting and details in the fabric like DM mentioned are unreal. Even the depression in the attackers thigh where the victim is squeezing has realistic shadows. If this is just out of a 3D program, I'm even more impressed than I already am!

Re: Re: ...
Actually, it's 100% painted I think.

Re: Re: ...
If this was done in a 3d program, then Steven has too much time on his hands and the wrong program. Looks painted to me, very nicely I might add. Question for the artist: was this inspired at all by Gentileschi's Judith Decapitating Holofernes? While composed differently, it is similar in its dramatic lighting and subject matter. Anyway, excellent work; very well composed and executed. It's very illustrative and makes me want to know the story of "jealousy" that is behind this image. I also enjoy how it is uncertain on whether the attacker is in the act of slaying the victim or merely giving a strong warning in a threatening position.

gross
just gross.. masterfully painted. I'm wondering if you used a 3d model originally to get the shapes and lighting down at first and then paint onto it.

You could earn millions
You could earn millions doing porn. I'd pay to see it.

Re: You could earn millions
I think the artist's talent goes beyond porn.

Re: Re: You could earn millions
Oh, absolutely. But that doesn't negate the fact that he could do brilliant porn, and since the sex industry pays quite well (or so I've been told by my tv), he could do pretty well for himself.

one strange thing
the strange thing in this pic is the hand.
the way she touch the fairy is more sensual then afraid.

perhaps the fairy is someone she was trusting,
so they was talking when suddenly...

Re: one strange thing
Right, I thought something similar about the position of the fairy sitting on the bed; she's sitting more like they were having a bed time chat than as an attacker. I'd expect a violent attacker to be in a more dominant position like straddling the victim's chest. Rather than trying to analyze/rationalize the pose, I just chalked it up as an artistic decision based more on aesthetics than an attempt to create a scene with realistic action, a perfectly legit approach to composition. However, maybe these are intentional clues about the story behind this scene; only the artist knows for sure.

Re: Re: one strange thing
Here's something I didn't notice before: the bald pointy-eared one next to the victim in bed. That explains the title a bit more.
DanteLives
Wow, didn't notice that!
He blends into the background so well that I didn't see him till you pointed him out; truth is that I was probably too distracted by the female figures in the foreground. I'm not sure if noticing him explains the tile better to me since I had already assumed that it was jealousy over a man (elf, pixie, fairy, bat?). Definately makes it more interesting though... so... yeah, I think we can all understand the situation now.
