A good example!
Here we have seen two ways of giving feedback. The one way that pisses me off and shuts me down to constructive feedback and oneway which is not overly critical but still somewhat abrupt. I think words like "crappy" or so demeaning and are not aimed at helping someone. Most of the time I think people just don't think when they post. Anyway on to the tile. Ezo is correct about the smudge tool it would have been cool if you had tried enlarging the image while working on it and brought down the upper image like one pixel line at a time Thats what I do when I'm serious about making it blend. The other thing is try to use the colors around the tile (like whats in the other tiles) It seems that no matter what people say about being original they seem to expect your tile not to clash or have a different approach to the subject. On a collaborative project I can understand this thinking you want it to blend and everything to flow. I think your tiles show imagination for someone who says they can't draw or is'nt used to the software. Just do what I do and keep trying. I won't let the eliteist attitudes prevent from working. And just remeber this is'nt the met, the tate, or the freaking smithsonian this is just a web site where people are honing skills so relax and enjoy it. Don't take it as serious as some of the critics would have you take it hell nobodys getting paid for this it's recreational art. I think it sucked that someone graded this so hard.

thanks...i hate this one, but it's too late...no response to an attempt to fix it..oh well...

there is a bit of an elitist attitude here, but the nice people have mad eit worth it...*sigh* - i really do like having a place to hone my skills...this is definitely stretching me - thanks for the nice talking-to, much better than the bitch-out :) it really is a crappy tile, though, lol.....:) life goes on....

sorry i missed your request to rework this tile. lot's of posts, and it's easy to miss one here or there.

it's never too late though... if you still are bothered by this tile just post here and tell me, and i'll reactivate the quilt and send your tile back to you. :o)

weeeeelll, i still hate it (with a vengeance) but i think it's better to go forward in life...as long as no one has ill will about the quilt.....good to fall once in a while in order to appreciate good strengths and techniques...thanks for the offer, though...:) *sigh* now i now better :)

Re: Re: A good example!
you get one as a reward for every five tiles you create. you spend them, if you wish, on whichever tiles you think are worthy of your hard earned cash ;o)
