It's my first tile
and it shows. Instead of doing some deeper blending of the borders into the image I ended up creating a linear border several pixels into my tile. Ah, well, you know what they say: "practice make your fingers bleed."

Trying my best
Maybe you can clear something up for me: How are the tiles placed? I'm assuming they get cropped to the dimensions that are stated on the tile and exclude the borders. Is this correct? Or is each tile overlayed on the quilt borders and all? I read through the tutorial but it doesn't explain that.
