Hmm...
I won't vote yet, because I'm not sure... but it LOOKS like you are going to have a SEVERE gray to black line on the right edge of your tile when the tile to your right pops up.

Re: Hmm...
Now that the tile underneath yours has shown up, you have other problems than the right edge... looks like you cropped your 128x128 in whatever program yer using, and it faded out a 1 pixel border all the way around.

That's going to make it near IMPOSSIBLE to blend into without showing a seam.

Draw ALL THE WAY OUT to the edge of the graphic they give you (don't just draw on the 128x128 section) and turn it in just like that. That way the website does the cropping, not your software.

you *can* draw over the checkerboard pattern. All the data will be cut off when you check it in, but it allows you to follow your colors through so that your tile is easy to blend with.
What I personally do, is duplicate the template tile into another layer, cut out the 'draw here' portion, and then paint underneath. I don't cut out the checkerboards like Essobie does in his tutorial, but since I'm painting underneath, I can still follow all my colors through on every border, without changing any of the original tile data. Then to see if my colors are being pushed all the way across the border, I can just hide the top layer.
Although, Essobie's technique makes sure you keep the tiny squares of your diaganol neighbors in mind too.
