It was ME. You obviously didn't do any scientific research for this tile. For example, everybody knows that this dinosaur is an herbivore, but is he eating any plants? Not that I can see. Ridiculous!
No, I'm just messing around. This topic seems to come up from time to time. The googlebot is believed to be the culprit for many -5 votes. And if any low votes come from actual people, they are obviously on their own agenda.
I find that no matter how much time I put into a tile, sooner or later it will get dinged by some whoppers (this only seems to happen on the newbie quilts). Interesting, since I understand that people should be voting generously on the newbie quilts. Anyway, I've learned not to take it personally and I tend to go by what the "regulars" voted. The admins are cool here, and I'm sure they'll have a word or two to say about it.
Seriously, about your tile. The dinosaur is rendered very well and I especially like how you did the cliffside on the left. The textures are different from the rest of the quilt, and it is very interesting. 5 from me.

I wasn't really taking it personally, since I'm really just a programmer with a mouse who has no real graphics talent (certainly not nearly as much as most people on here) so I don't mind low ratings...it'd just be nice to know why so I can improve. One of the major reasons I do tiles every once in a while is because I find it a really cool concept and I find them fun to make, so it makes it easier to learn...I'd much rather get a low rating that explains what I'm doing wrong than a high rating that I didn't deserve.
