The smoke brush is a little too obvious, though :)

Yeah, the smoke brush is obvious but it doens't really matter, at least it's blended well.
A lot better than many first tiles I've seen.
Maybe the alien would ahve looked better with some shading but maybe you wanted it to look flat, who knows?
Anyway, good effort on your first tile!
