jito, I have used only one reference: one photo from my head, but not even in the same position, and I have hair and bear. When finished, it looks for me as some scenes in a videogame... it remembers me to The House of Dead from dreamcast. I've never seen baldur's gate 2. I think that sword and eye thing is so common, so it should appear it lots of parts... And I'm sure I've seen it any time, but yesterday I was not using refences for it. About the body, it is completely without references, even the hand, it is not very anatomically correct, but the practics I'm doing with anatomy looks as if helps me a lot to do things from scratch.
