SMGO
even if u guys don' t like my "3 border"
i am happy of the way it blends with other tiles
and the global color composition
i could give myself a 3.5

Re: SMGO
I gave you a four because the left blend seems a little blurry, everything else looks nice though.

some constructive critics?
i can't give 5 or 4 for such tiles not because
it's blurred or that it has small defects, it
can even have perfect blending, but when I look
at this tile, i see that there is NO IDEA, you
just blended all edges without making Something
Cool where there is some sense.. What's on
this tile? some color spots that make the whole
quilt look more unconnected.. :(

0/5

Re: some constructive critics?
unconnected????
LOL
the problem
is that u need a sense in each tile
if everybody was making ,for exemple
an object or a scene in each tile
u will have a shity quilt

*for me it is a good way
to have a color composition // object continuation
to connect tiles sometimes.

anyway it's probably pointless to say this
if u didn't see it yet by YOURSELF
(oops crap why i use caps suddenly)
u will desagree .

Re: Re: some constructive critics?
hmm. I agree that an object in every tile would make really
messy quilt. But but if people give you a river from one side
and some lava from another and you make something
single-colored out of it, it kinda cuts eye - you look at the
river, you follow it with eyes (3 tiles) and then it abruptly
ends... It's not bad by itself, there is just no point, no
sense - how it's done. One can say that it is the point that
there is no point, but here starts anarchy :)

I don't know. Sorry if my comment insulted you, i just wanted
to tell that there is some logical (or unlogical, depends on
your imagination) way to create collision between lava and
water, not just colors..

Re: some constructive critics?
There's all kinds of different art, dude. Hence the terms abstract, impressionism, and whatnot. Not everything has to be realistic. Hell, the Canadian government paid a ridiculous ammount of money for a red stripe across a white canvas (something I don't necessarily agree with, yet I'm not going to impose my sense of what constitutes art on them - that direction only leads to elitism) It's like graffiti; do you think of that as art? I would say that it is a self expression, and therefore art. Others will vehemently deny this. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I consider blending on tiles the overall requirement and that tile content is secondary to this. If a tile is well blended it shouldn't get 0 or negative votes just because you don't like the subject matter. If i drew penises on all my tiles would you give me -5's? <:)

Re: some constructive critics?
Eh, it's worth a 3 to me. It is kind of smudgy. It's not that bad, though. Don't worry about the mainquilts too much, void. I'm still waiting for the next Mass Visualizations, or other quilt like that... Someday... Someday.
