Blending
Is the blending a problem on this tile?

Re: Blending
not that I can see. The hard line at the top is from the tile above, and that tile had the blending responsibility for that edge, not this one. As for the other three sides... the adjacent tiles aren't visible yet so it's hard to tell. It looks like it's ok though.

Re: Re: Blending
How can it be from the tile above, when this one was created before it? ;) So yeah, you created a rather hard border, and I think that the border to the right is also a bit "cut off", leading to a "boxed" impression, and that's never good in the world of tiles. =) Keep it up, Henke!

(I must say that the artist above this one did a really good job with that border. I also think that the fact that he did it to the other borders is cool in that case, even if that's not a thing I'd like to encourage.. =)

A good thing is to learn from artists you think do a good job. Check through their stuff and you'll probably see a lot of "hard-blended" tiles. See how they solved the problem, then use the inspiration created in your head from the experience solving your own problems...

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Blending
I think my experiences from this newbie quilt have got me into a good track of blending. I'm sure of that I'll make good blendings in the future and not this crap blendings i've done so far :)
It's all about imagination ;)
