Re: Can you say
or Mongi? ;) http://tiles.ice.org/tile_info_surreal.php?quilt_id=2&tile_id=157

Still a very well made tile. It blends great and so is the artwork.
Re: Re: Can you say
...what a toolbox.

Yeah, I was ripping off that other tileist--I've never heard of that Dolly guy.

That was sarcasm, adamantine.

Re: Re: Re: Can you say
The tile itself is indeed very well made, looks great!!

I have a hard time believing that you don't know who Salvador Dali is! I don't know many artists who don't!! :)

He was the most prominent surrealist painter of the 20th century. He has one work with a clock, melting, flopped over the edge of a box or a desk on the left side of the composition. This just reminded me of a mirror image of that, however you didn't melt the clock as much.

If you don't know who he is, go to:

and look at some of his works. You will probably recognize a few, alot of his works were made into posters and the likes. The ideas have been copied to death as well throughout.

:) Enjoy.

Sorry bout self-replying..

Recognize the clock idea? :)
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Can you say
I swear to God.

What the fuck is wrong with you people?

I'm fucking rolling over here.

oh, man... I've gotta catch my breath from laughing...
Re: Re: Re: Can you say
I know it's obviously a Dali copy. I have a poster of that painting on my wall. I was merely pointing out the coincidence.

Mongi's is better anyway. :P
I feel your pain...
Man, Beefy - after reading these posts, I don't know how you've managed stick it out for this long. I've thought about returning to do a few more tiles, but this kind of stuff certainly doesn't encourage me.

You're right, though: it makes for some entertaining reading. People seem to be so intent on showing just how much they *think* they know that they forget who they are talking to.

What are they teaching in High School these days? Don't these kids realize that anyone with your skillsets obviously knows who Dali is? Well, hang in there. I still think this whole thing is a kickass idea. The allure has just not been as strong as of late. Ummm... keep tiling! ...I guess.

I was going to say something clever in the defense of those people who never really know whats going on...but I can't even be here right now, this conversation is hurting my head.
Think people, THINK! Then you may move your mouths and make noise (or type as the case may be).
