I love this one Gecky. I saw it before on Gfxartist, and I've voted my maximum in both places (here and there). I really love it. It makes feel something... :) . How do you get that great non-digital style textures and strokes?

I get this question quite a bit and I don't really know the answer. I think it's the grain but I guess there's just something about the way I work that people seem to think looks non-digital. It's probably also the non-digital blurry airbrush look.. I only use hard brushes.

The really sharp highlights suggest a marble-like texture which works pretty well, but that sort of detail clashes with the smoothness of the rest of the piece, for me. The grain in the brushes however makes this less noticable. I know that detail attacts the eye and if it was everywhere it would look to busy, but maybe just a bit more sharpness throughout.
