Model photo?
Okay geck, you're a girl, and these are guys hands. Let's see the reference photo you used ;)
The lighting and skin are just fantastic though, great work! Looks absolutely natural... I could never draw hands like this.

Re: Model photo?
Guess I have guy hands then... I was mostly just using the webcam to look at them. So those are my hands, and that's my arm too. I took two still shots of course, I mean I can't draw while holding one hand in the air all the time you know .. but they're boring really. You can't see them!

Angelina Jolie got pretty male hands too...
dang
i really like the way the progression into darkness was handled here. Jolly good show!
Liking the hands
I think the exaggeration on the creases in the hands makes them look mannish. The lighting is really good, although the linear perspective running back towards the bicep seems a little odd. Perhaps it's that the forearm is too pronounced or maybe the angle you got on the webcam just made it appear unnatural.
Re: Liking the hands
I don't know, maybe a tiny bit exaggerated by the brightness of the lighting, but I actually have some really boney wrinkly hands. I think maybe it's the positioning of them and lack of girlish fingernails and rings and stuff. 'Cause they're not fat or muscular or even dirty or worked like you might expect from a typical male hand.
Let's shake hands!
Well done, these hands really look like how hands suposed to be :)
I love the green glow over it.

arm
great hands, why didnt you try harder on that arm?
Re: arm
What's wrong with it?
arm
its extremely warped
Re: arm
Re: arm
take a closer look at the shading of the arm and compare it to your photo, I think its suggesting contours that dont exist.
Re: Re: arm
Nah, they exist, 'cause I created them.
Hands
They look like hands reaching out of the sky... very calming.
Great!
..I really like your picture. It seems almost sad, that you want to reach out to someone, but can not do it through real life, so you do it through your art, I admire that.I also like the mediums and 3-D look you gave it.

nice
i don't think the hands look mannish and i don't think the arms look warped. really nice work, especially on the lighting. the only thing i'd like to see is a bit of translucency suggested on the arm. usually the underside of an arm like that has some color variation from blood vessels & whatnot. that translucent feeling would catapult this painting into the realm of 'godly'.
