your textures and models here look pretty good, i think what's missing about this is in the camera angle and lighting.. when you have the light and camera almost directly on the profile of the scene, it tends to look boring. i think if you chose a more dramatic camera angle and played with the lighting a bit more (in relationship to the camera) this could be so much more interesting.. eg, you could have the camera a little below and behind the path of the missile, so it'd look like it just flew by the camera, and closer to the floor looking up a bit rather than down.. maybe crank up the fov a bit more too.. this would also allow room to show more of the environment
fortunately since it's 3d, this is pretty easy to play around with and accomplish :)
