Did you use a vector based program to build this one? looks good!

I dunno if it is a vector based... But I used Paint Shop Pro... And thank you. (0=

Anthony,
Tell me, where would one be able to find any advantage in working in a vector based program with full knowledge that in order to present this artwork here in this forum, it must be converted into a bitmap, raster based artwork, in order to be accepted? Vector based artwork may appear to look sharper, crisper and more vibrant in coloration at the time when works within a vector matrix but I cannot understand how you feel there is an advantage that might be had in working therein, in this application. Vector based compositions do have an advantage over raster based artwork in some ways and in some applications but I cannot see any advantage that cannot be had, in bitmap editing programs like Photopaint or Photoshop. Please, insofar as I have wrestled with every consideration between 16 million colors to screen resolution, tell me of your understanding of the difference between the two basis' of generating screen graphics. Thanks Ant, and please keep up the fine work and I invite all whom view this, to enlighten me if they so desire and their understanding permits. Eddie M.

Re: Re: Nicely done
The main reason I was asking was because i checked out Mojo's site and noticed the same pic, but at a larger size.(it may have been just a similar pic) And it still looked pretty sharp. You right though, i dont really see any "advantage" to using a vector based program in this type of work. Dont get me wrong i wish we didnt have to rasterize an image to veiw it on the web. Possible the only advantage would be to manipulate shapes. (just my opinion) Another reason i asked is because i tried to duplicate the ripple affect that "Mojo" had in the top left corner of his pic, and i was having problems doing that in photoshop. I debated using illiastrator to get the shapes for it first and then bringing it back to photoshop and giving the effects there. I didnt as you can see, but i have never attemted the ripple affects before and am still having some problems with it. Any tips are welcome. And to you "Mojo" sorry for adding so many wires in my pic, i probley could have gotten away with only 2 of them, i got a little carried away. I've been experementing with the wires latley as you can see in my last and only three pics here. And to everyone here, keep up the good stuff. Till next time.

No prob on the wires man... Yours wasn't there when I put this one in. Now, back to what program I use... For one... I can't stand "adobe" anything. Sure "Adobe" has it's advantages, I just prefer "Jasc Paint Shop" when it comes to photo manipulation and all out creation. As for your ripples... Try starting out with a circular gradiant, sphere it, then reduce the color count. After that re-increase the color count and ripple it, and soften to texture. At least I think that might be how I did it... That was quite some time back...

Oh well experiment and have fun with it. (0=
