IMO - bad utilization of border content, but excellent shading and stuff... 4... my piece of advice : go more with the flow - be one with the universe - feel the ki....

Re: ...
Thanks for your input.. Before when I went with the flow many people were pissed at me for "copy paste", so I had to make a decision..

QUESTION: If you are preseneted with a tile (like I was in this case).. is it ok to copy paste the "blue bricks" and go with the flow or do you all frown on that..

Re: Re: ...
when I look at this tile now - I think that my past critique was profound... Actually. I'm gonna change my vote to a 5.

ANSWER: I think it's okay to copy-paste the blue bricks in this case. I wouldn't "copy-paste" them - I would re-create them. This way- I have a better counscious. The important thing is that you don't use copy-pasted stuff as a main part of your image. You should use it while blending, going with the flow of the bricks - maybe do the whole background in bricks (but do a little twist on them) and adding something in the foreground...

Anyway. I gotta run. Hope any of this is useful... ciao

In other words: Copy&Paste[TM] to follow a pattern is ok, as long as noone can tell that you did it. ;) That's my opinion, with reservations for other situations where I'd like to redefine my opinion. ;D
