I thought about that... but then I thought about how quilts always seemed so busy, and that a little plain space would look nice... there's only so much you can do in a sky without it looking .. well.. abnormal ;P

I'm satisfied with this picture. Only regret is that no tiler will finish it on the left to make it look more "rocketlike" XD

I was given only blue to blend, and I didn't feel like filling the middle of my tile with something extraordinary was required.

Look at me, already coming up with tiling theories! rofl!

Yeah, sometimes a little breathing space could be nice, but the breathing space is gonna look a bit unnatural in its place... we shall see, though. In the end, as long as no tile sticks out too much then it's fine. :) I just nitpick everything till it's raw...

I do know what you mean..

I fiddled with this tile more than any of my others.. played with a bunch of clouds and even flames.. but in the end, i felt it was just too forced. The tile under has a bunch of cumulus (sp?) clouds at the top of it... so any addition of clouds I added made everything too .. poofy ;P

and the addition of flames to the rocket looked good at first, but as i sat on the idea, i didn't like it. We'll see how this goes over. I enjoy tiles more in their context than in their content, so I am anxious to see how the entire quilt fits together.
