Negative Scores
If you are going to rate a tile with a negative score please leave a message as to why. I do realize that this tile is very simple but I feel sometimes that simple is nice.
How do we rate tiles anyway? Is it the blending or the actual are work? Or both? Most of the time I feel it is because of the idea...which I do think anybody should be rated negativley on.
I want to know what is wrong because if it is technical then I can change and make my tiles better!
Thanks

Re: Negative Scores
although im pretty new, ill try to shed some light in on why your not getting better scores, your definately right when you say sometimes simple is nice, especially when you get a tile with all 4 sides already done for you, those can be a real pain and you just spend your effort making them merge well with eachother, but you may want to keep a couple unwritten rules in your head while tiling, dont leave black borders, even if your tile is space themed try toleave an interesting border, let your focal points runoff into tiles that havent been made yet, that way when you give other people good borders to go from theyll be more inclined to vote well on your tiles, they think "oh yea, electra always gives interesting borders... 5!!!" dont keep crap colors continuing, or a bad design if you can end it, then end it. if it would help you to add detail in your tiles, then blow them up before you start work, and resize when your done, then make sure your borders match, thats how i do mine....

i hope ive been helpful, and i look forward to seeing your next tile.

Re: Re: Negative Scores
You have been a great help and I do understand everything that you have said. And I do try to do that. I guess I get frustrated when I think that I have done the right thng but somehow I always get a negative score form someone who won't explain why.(I know this tile however does not prove that)
But I do thank you and look forward to your cristisim in my tiles to come. In fact I have one above your "ice sculpture".

Thanksagain
