why is the actual tile so much brighter then the checkin tile?
i just saw
that all of your tiles have the same bright fenomenon, the checkins are much darker then the shown tiles.. why i wonder.. ?

i forgot what it actually is. but we can call it the evil ghost that lives in photoshop. something to do with pngs. ask slothy, he knows everything

I think it has something to do with the way Photoshop encodes the files. From now on I'm going to save the tiles out as .bmp files and save a .png from Paint Shop Pro. PSP doesn't seem to darken .png's like that.

This one is a standard question. We need to make a FAQ and include this one, since it happens quite a bit.
Here is a previous answer to it. Essentially, gamma exists to try to make images look the same on every computer, so your monitor/room brightness don't ruin images.
